FAQ

Q: How can I test the order and purchase process without actually spending money?

A: To test the order and purchase process you have to go to Payment gateways (on Settings) and configure the option “Proofs (DEBUG)” Credit Card. This way we can test the process without actually spending money. If you want to check the credit card gateway has successfully worked you have to make a transaction by a very small amount and check the result depending on the number the credit card shows (1- Correct operation, 2- Error, 3- Exception). Then the operation can be discarded.

Q: Can I add submenus in Tiendy?

A: Sure! You just have to add tags to products. This means that when you add a product to your store, you should add tags. When you add a product to a category and you add the category to the menu, these tags will be shown in page of this category. For example, if you create a link to a category called “Fishing”, your customers will be able to go deep in it by using the tags of the products added to that category. Some tags could be “fishing rods”, “fishing books”, “baits”, etc. When you click “fishing rods” you should be shown only the fishing rods of that category. Keep in mind that the tags are only shown in the categories.

Q: How does Tiendy estimate the cost of the shipping process?

A: Tiendy calculates the shipping costs from the weight you set in your store. When a purchase is produced, Tiendy calculates the total weight of the products and applies the shipping fee you have selected. If you go to Settings and then on Shipment you can add new fees and apply them to the countries you are going to ship.

Q: How can I add a picture to a page different from a product page?

A: A picture could be easily added to any page by using “Add/Edit picture” (available on the text box that pops up when opening the page).

Q: How can I use Google Analytics in my store?

A: Go to Settings > General > Statistics. Then on “Google Analytics account”, you will have to add your identifying number. If you need further information about this topic, check our Tutorials.
